Why it’s safe

An auction only works if strangers can trust each other for a few days. That trust has to be built into the system, not asked for. Here is exactly how HyperBidz does it, and just as important, what it doesn’t promise.

  • Only the leader holds

The top bidder always has 2.5% of their bid held. Every price you see is backed by someone real, and nobody else has money stuck.

  • ID-verified members

Members verify their identity with a live photo of their ID, right in the app. Verified members show a check next to their name.

  • A public track record

No star ratings to game. Every seller’s sales and dispute outcomes are public, so you know who you’re dealing with.

  • Late bids add time

Nobody wins by sniping. The auction ends when the bidding stops.

  • Real people settle disputes

No-show? Not as described? Open a dispute with photos and video. Our team reviews both sides and rules. Evidence stays private.

  • No-shows pay for it

Win and don’t show up? The fee isn’t refunded and it goes on your record. 3 strikes and you’re out.

01

Holds: money behind every bid

Online, talk is free. Anyone can comment “I’ll take it”, negotiate for a week and disappear. In an auction a fake bid is worse: it pushes the price for everyone.

So on HyperBidz, the top bidder always has 2.5% of their bid held from their wallet. Get outbid and the hold is released that same moment. Only one person, the current leader, ever has money held on a lot.

When the clock hits zero, the winner’s hold becomes the fee. That’s why the price you see is real: the person behind it has already committed.

02

Verification: real, accountable people

Members can verify their identity with a live photo of their ID, captured in the app. No gallery uploads. Our team reviews every submission, and verified members show a check next to their name.

Verification doesn’t make someone honest. It makes them accountable, and that changes behavior.

03

The public track record

We don’t use star ratings. Stars get farmed, traded and inflated until they mean nothing. Instead, every seller has a public page with their sales and the outcome of any disputes, including the ones they lost.

New sellers get a clear “new on HyperBidz” label instead of a fake perfect score. One lost dispute is a line item, not a scarlet letter. A warning only appears when there’s a real pattern.

04

When a deal goes wrong

After the auction you have 72 hours to meet and confirm. If the other side doesn’t show, tries to renegotiate the price, or the item isn’t what was listed, open a dispute from the deal screen. Describe what happened and add photos or video.

Evidence is private. Only the two of you and the review team can see it. A real person reviews both sides and rules. The ruling, not the evidence, goes on the public record.

05

Walking away has a cost

Fees are settled when the hammer falls, and they’re final. Win and walk away, and you’ve paid the fee for nothing and earned a strike on your record. After 3 strikes, the account is blocked.
