How it works
If you’ve never used an online auction, this page is for you. Buying and selling in Lebanon has always meant classifieds, WhatsApp groups and endless haggling. An auction replaces all of that with something simpler: a price real people push up in real time, a clock, and a winner.
The short version
- 01
Find
Scroll a feed of live auctions.
Full-screen photos and videos of cars, phones, watches and more. Every lot shows the current bid and a live countdown. Tap the heart to watch one and we’ll tell you how it ends.
- 02
Bid
Tap to bid, or let auto-bid do it.
Bid once, or set your maximum and auto-bid raises for you, only as far as it needs to. While you’re the top bidder, 2.5% of your bid is held in your wallet. Get outbid and it’s released instantly.
- 03
Win
Highest bid at zero wins.
Late bids add time, so nobody can snipe it. A bid in the final minute puts the clock back to 1:00. In the final 30 seconds, back to 0:30. It ends when the bidding truly stops.
- 04
Meet & done
Check it, pay in person, confirm.
Chat with the seller in the app and meet within 72 hours. Inspect the item in your hands, pay the seller directly, and you both confirm. Your 2.5% hold becomes the HyperBidz fee. Done.
Every rule, explained
The four steps are enough for your first bid. Here is each moving part properly: what it does, and why it exists.
What gets held when I bid?
When you become the top bidder, 2.5% of your bid is held in your HyperBidz wallet. It’s still your money; it’s just set aside.
The moment someone outbids you, it’s released back to you. Only the current leader ever has a hold on a lot, so losing an auction never costs you anything.
If you’re still on top when the clock hits zero, the hold becomes your fee. That’s the only thing a buyer pays us.
What is auto-bid?
Set the most you’re willing to pay, and auto-bid raises for you one step at a time, only as far as it needs to beat other bids. If nobody pushes, you might win for much less than your maximum.
Your maximum stays private. If two people auto-bid, the higher maximum wins, and the price stops one step above the other.
What is a reserve price?
Some sellers set a reserve: the lowest price they’ll accept. If bidding ends below it, the item doesn’t sell and nobody pays anything.
Sellers can show the reserve or keep it private. Either way, you always see whether it has been met.
Why did the clock just go up?
On old auction sites, the winning move was to hide until the final second and snipe. That’s not a fair fight, it’s a fast connection.
On HyperBidz, a bid in the final minute puts the clock back to 1:00. A bid in the final 30 seconds puts it back to 0:30. Everyone gets a fair chance to answer, and the auction only ends when people stop bidding.
What is Buy Now?
Some lots have a Buy Now price. Pay it and the auction ends on the spot, with you as the winner. Same fee, same meet-up, no waiting.
What happens after I win?
You and the seller get a private chat in the app and 72 hours to meet. Pick a public place. Inspect the item in your hands before any money changes hands.
Happy? Pay the seller the winning bid in person, and both of you confirm in the app. That’s the deal done, and it counts toward the seller’s public record.
What does HyperBidz cost?
Browsing, watching and bidding are free. There are exactly two fees, and both are only charged when an auction succeeds.
Fees are settled the moment the hammer falls, and they’re final. If a number isn’t on this page, we don’t charge it.
What if something goes wrong?
Most deals end with two confirmations and a handshake. When one doesn’t, there’s a real process, not an inbox that goes quiet.
Seller didn’t show? Item not as described? Someone tried to change the price at the meet-up? Open a dispute from the deal screen within the 72-hour window. Add photos or video. A real person reviews both sides and rules.
Evidence stays private. The ruling goes on the public record of the member it’s about. Fees aren’t refunded through disputes: they’re settled at the hammer, and the ruling is about accountability.
What if I win and change my mind?
Then you’ve paid the fee for nothing, and you get a strike on your record. After 3 strikes, the account is blocked. Only bid on what you mean to buy.
