What is HyperBidz?
HyperBidz is a live auction app for Lebanon. Sellers post items like cars, phones, watches and electronics, and buyers bid in real time. The highest bid when the countdown ends wins, and buyer and seller meet to complete the deal.
Is it free to bid?
Yes. Browsing, watching and bidding are free. While you’re the top bidder, 2.5% of your bid is held in your wallet. If someone outbids you, it’s released instantly. You only pay if you win.
How much does it cost if I win?
2.5% of your winning bid. That’s the hold you already placed, so there’s nothing extra to pay us. The item price itself you pay to the seller, in person.
How do I pay for an item I won?
In person, to the seller, at the meet-up, after you’ve checked the item. HyperBidz doesn’t process the item price.
Someone bid at the last second. Why did the clock go up?
That’s our anti-sniping rule. A bid in the final minute puts the clock back to 1:00, and a bid in the final 30 seconds puts it back to 0:30. The auction ends when the bidding stops, not when someone gets lucky.
What is auto-bid?
You set your maximum and auto-bid raises for you, one step at a time, only as far as needed to stay on top. Your maximum stays private.
What if the item isn’t as described?
Don’t pay for it: you always inspect before you pay. If the seller doesn’t show, misrepresented the item, or tries to change the price, open a dispute in the app with photos or video. A real person reviews both sides and rules.
How do I know a seller is trustworthy?
Look at their public page: completed sales and the outcome of any disputes, including the ones they lost. Verified members also show a check next to their name.
What does it cost to sell?
2.5% of your reserve, or of your starting price if you don’t set a reserve. It’s held when you post. If the item sells, that’s the fee. If it doesn’t, you get it back.
What is a reserve price?
The lowest price a seller will accept. If bidding ends below it, the item doesn’t sell and nobody pays anything. You always see whether the reserve has been met.
Can I skip the auction and just buy?
On lots with a Buy Now price, yes. Pay that price and the auction ends right away with you as the winner.
What happens if I win and don’t show up?
The fee isn’t refunded and you get a strike on your record. After 3 strikes, your account is blocked.
When is HyperBidz launching?
Soon, on iPhone and Android, in Lebanon first. Follow this site for the launch.
